I have the HF burner. In my experience, they work well amongst the rocks and concrete etc, but less so in open ground. I've done hot water and try to burn them out. I've found the same result. Better in an area where the ground can stay hot I guess. Now, I haven't tried to make myob go away. The only thing I spray at all is wild morning glory at the edge of the yard. I used to spot spray the canaidian thistle. Weeds can be an indicator sometimes of a nutrient the soil is missing. I think I would try to smother them out if they were localized enough.

60k btu's per burner and you can't turn it down enough I agree with Linda Lou. That is far too high a BTU rating for the canner, especially if it isn't fully adjustable. My propane burner is 35,000 BTU but it is fully adjustable down to 10,000 BTU. It is one we have discussed here in detail in the past and posted pictures in use etc. I can find that discussion for you if you need it. Otherwise look for a set up with 1/2 the 120,000 BTUs on the unit you got and especially one with better, more finite controls. Dave

A fairly quick pass with the flame or a pass from a radiant propane tool will burst the cells of the above ground portion of the weed; basically cooking the weed. Weeds vary in their response to this. Some are well adapted and will grow back quickly, like many grasses. Others are more affected and may die, like young plants, seedlings, and some annual weeds.

Well I have a CampChef 3 burner stove that I bought at Costco several years ago that I keep on the back deck year round. I paid $150 for the Costco version and we do all our frying, steaming and shrimp/crab boils on it as well as cooking burgers and fajitas on a cast iron griddle. I keep it covered with a basic gas grill cover. This has 3 30,000 BTU burners and can cook most anything you want, I haven't fried a turkey on it but you could I think. It does pretty good at simmering if you can get the heat adjusted right too. Academy Sports sells the 2 burner Weekender version for $99 as well as their store brand Outdoor Gourmet 3 burner that has the BBQ grill attachment for around $150 I think.
