After less than a year in service, all of our Perfect Flame's burners are cracked, one so badly that there is absolutely NO way to adjust the heat. Everything is torched. And, like others, DH can't even get the bolts off to replace them IF he could get replacements. Of course, as everyone has already found out, Lowe's does not offer any help. They carry a couple fo peripherals for the Perfect Flame, but not parts like burners. They tell you to go to the manufacturer. And guess what? The manufacturer told us to go to Lowe's. RUNAROUND! The gentleman at Lowe's was so solicitous and said that he would call the manufacturer for us and get back to us in a couple of days. It's been 2 weeks and no call yet. Don't think there will be, do you? Bottom line (for us, anyway) is that we will never again purchase a "store" brand. It will definitely cost us more, but we will buy only a name brand like Weber, CharBroil, etc. Something at least that we know we will be able to purchase parts for.

I just bought the Lybx 24" grill. So far I have used the sear burner exclusively for steaks, burgers, etc. I probably won't use the other burner unless I have a lot of food that has to be cooked at the same time. The sear burner is easy to clean by just turning it to high for a few minutes after grilling. You can then brush off any food remnants from the surface.

This BBQ grill seems fairly new on the market, and a friend of our bought one at Costco. There doesn't seem to be any other experiences on them, so I posted a new thread in the Cooking Forum. With winter coming, grills often go on sale, so I thought I'd better get this up on the boards before the remainder get tucked away in warehouse inventory! I just bought a Weber Spirit, the one with stainless steal flavor bars, stainless steel grates, etc. (This model was for some reason hard to find. Maybe most people just pay the extra $200 for the Genesis. The Genesis was too big for me and my little patio). Weber has a longer warranty for the stainless steel parts vs the ceramic/cast iron parts, so I assume that means the stainless lasts longer. This model also has a side burner for beans, corn etc. ItÂs a little cheaper than the Genesis, and you donÂt lose much in surface area. So far I really like it. It gets really hot, maybe too hot! I canÂt shut the lid and come back 10 minutes later like I used to. PS if you buy the Weber grill cover, IÂve read some negative reviews about the vents letting in water when it rains.
