1. Do I put the turkey on the rotisserie or set it on the grill? Depends on the size of your grill. If your turkey is small enough to place it on the grill without having a burner lit directly underneith it, then you should be OK. Otherwise I would suggest the rotisserie. The key is..no fire under the bird. 2. I'm assuming I need to soak the chips and then put them in the tray. What temp do I set the burners at to smoke and not cook? I would suggest getting a book. It varies somewhat but I think about 200F is average.

After less than a year in service, all of our Perfect Flame's burners are cracked, one so badly that there is absolutely NO way to adjust the heat. Everything is torched. And, like others, DH can't even get the bolts off to replace them IF he could get replacements. Of course, as everyone has already found out, Lowe's does not offer any help. They carry a couple fo peripherals for the Perfect Flame, but not parts like burners. They tell you to go to the manufacturer. And guess what? The manufacturer told us to go to Lowe's. RUNAROUND! The gentleman at Lowe's was so solicitous and said that he would call the manufacturer for us and get back to us in a couple of days. It's been 2 weeks and no call yet. Don't think there will be, do you? Bottom line (for us, anyway) is that we will never again purchase a "store" brand. It will definitely cost us more, but we will buy only a name brand like Weber, CharBroil, etc. Something at least that we know we will be able to purchase parts for.

Grilles between the glass on there own definitely look fake and horrible in my opinion. As far as SDL i very much think its the way to go as it looks very much authentic and is much cheaper than TDL. Also as it is one piece of glass you will see better performance than you would from many small pieces of glass. Of course i think the SDL must be on a wood and or wood/aluminum clad window for my opinion to hold true.

Have you plugged the electric grill in to see if it works? Electric grills provide no smoke and thus no flavor. The previous owner may have liked the flavor that charcoal imparts, so they turned it into a charcoal grill, which seems dumb (and might fry the electrical components). I'd just get a charcoal grill. We have a propane grill and the only way it smokes is if we put soaked wood chips in it. We also have a propane fire pit that is 50,000 BTU's, puts out a lot of heat but no smoke or sparks. It seems to me that your neighbors like smoke in all it's forms. Maybe just keep your windows shut and turn on the AC?
