Flavoring a gas grill before use...

Posted by sharon620 (My Page) on

Can anyone please tell me how to flavor the grates of the grill before using? I heard one time before you should rub the grill grates with oil on a papertowel before using. Mine are so dull.
Thanks for your help!
Sharon

Do you mean season the grates of the grill? Seasoning a cast iron pan, or the surface of a grill, prevents sticking but doesn't do much for the flavor department...
