Getting new Viking built-in grill

Marc Gore

I bought a house last year that had a beautiful outdoor kitchen but a junky built in stainless steel natural gas grill made by a company called Outdoor Kitchen Concepts. The inside has basically rusted through and the burners alone will cost me about $1,200. There really is no information on this company on the net and all numbers I have tried for the company don't work. So I am buying a new 36" Viking 300 series built in gas grill from an online retailer and a plumber buddy of mine is going to install it. All in the price is around $3K.

My question is do I need any type of special gas line or fitting from Viking or can I just use the existing gas line that fed my old grill? If he does need any parts can he just go to a local plumbing supply store? Thanks!

Marc
