Vermont Castings or Weber?
| | |
Posted by lyban (My Page) on Wed, Apr 25, 07 at 17:13
I am looking at either the Weber or Vermont Castings Grill.
I cannot decide but did notice that the new Webers seem to come with s/s grates. Where as the Vermont castings grates are Porcelain enamel.
I am wondering how the s/s grates are for cooking and cleaning. My old model grill uses enameled Porcelain and it cleans up very well.
I hate to not buy the weber because of this but it might be an issue.

| I'm doing the same debate. Overall the Weber (S620) seems better made, but the VC has significantly higher btu's per sqaure inch of grill area. The VC is 117 btu's / sq " while the Weber is only 86. Theoretically the VC will do a much better job of searing/carmelizing meat. Curious if anyone else has thoughts on these 2 mfr's. |
