Rebuild a Weber Silver-b grille?

Posted by shw104 (My Page) on

I have a 8 year old Weber Silver-B grille. Is been a great grille but showing its age. It cooks unevenly and is either too hot or too cold.

Is this grille worth rebuilding and if so, will the parts cost more than a new grille? All the parts are original except the cooking grates which I replaced two years ago.

Thanks for the help...
Scott

RE: Rebuild a Weber Silver-b grille?

By looking on the internet you can rebuild it for about $250.00. Hubby did it last fall. Sorry I didn't see your question earlier. Got a new one for Christmas and rebuilt the old Summit Silver and gave it to my son. They now go for $1200.00 new. So my son was thrilled.
