Calacatta Quartzite in the bathroom?

We are finally in the finish stages of our second floor remodel. Yahoo! We just might get the bathroom cabinets out of my gathering room in time for Christmas! :-) It has been a long SEVEN months!

I was out slab shopping yesterday and came across a calacatta quartzite. Pretty stone. I am wondering if it is more durable than the calacatta marble. Does anyone have experience in this area that they would be willing to share? Thank you!

It seems like Calacatta Quartzite is a good choice because it doesn't etch. There's been some discussion on the kitchen forum about it.

Good luck on your remodel and post pics when you're done!

Thank you annkathryn. The stone looks gorgeous in the kitchen pics, I hope it is appropriate for a bathroom. Will post pics at some point! :-)
