I think you mean two handles (hot and cold) or a single handled faucet. Right?

I prefer single handled faucets. They are easier to clean and can be operated with just a finger to determine temp and flow rather than messing with handles. Many people just love the look of two handles, so pick what YOU like.

I think it depends on your decor. If your room is very traditional I'd go with the 2 handled style. With a contemporary room, either will look good. But I really like the one handle faucets for ease of use. FWIW, I don't like the single holed mounted faucets in a traditional style. To me single holed faucets just speak contemporary.
