Travertine Threshold Repairs

{{gwi:2133610}}

The Guest bath has a threshold crack.

The Master shower threshold is cracked too. Note the color and etching differences on each side where the shower door lands. This is why you shouldn't use travertine in a bathroom shower to begin with.

I'm taping the master shower threshold crack as a marker for my grinder. I hook up my dust collection, close all the doors, and turn on the vent fan.

The grouted slot looks like it was always meant to be there, will allow some movement, and is easily maintained, all unlike a crack repair.

I was really bummed out to find this burn mark in the quartz vanity countertop.

Fortunately before attempting a repair, I adjusted the mirror and the "burn" moved.

Not bad. It sure can't be seen if you're taking a shower. I doubt a home inspector will ever find it.
