Anyone has experience fitting a deep tub through a standard door

Hello
We are planning to install a Japanese style soaking tub for mater bathroom renovation. The tub we are looking at is the Neptune Nagano 4040, it is about 37" in heigh, or the berverly 4040, which is 32' in height.

To me this first one wouldn't fit through the standard doors, with the plywood base underneath etc. Does anyone here have similar experience? Do you have to open the doorway to fit it through?

I'm not sure there are many doors or hallway's that are 37" wide. I think you'd need to install it while construction of the home ( or take out a section of outside wall ).

For 32" - it would be better to remove two studs ( remove 32+ inches of wall ) adjacent to the door - leave the door frame intact. It's much easier to replace the studs and wall board - than to reframe the door.
