Sink Drain Location- does it matter?

Well, no sooner do I post my hall bath photos that I am back with questions on the master bath :-)

I am trying to decide on a sink for the master and I currently have the kohler caxton and bancroft in my living room. Although my tub is a devonshire, I did not order one of those as I was worried about all the decorative ridges getting dirty. Anyway, I notice the bancroft has a center drain and the caxton is offset to be right under the water flow.
Is there an advantage to one or the other? I can't find anything on it. My faucet is the delta cassidy so its got a bit of an arc to it but since I also have it in my hall bath, I know it basically goes straight down to where the offset drain would be. I am not sure if that is good or if the bowl would get more rinsing action with the center drain.

If anyone knows the pros and cons of drain location please fill me in!

Thanks,
Amy
