Removing Grohe Talia Faucet Handle

I am completely baffled! I have a leaking Grohe Talia wideset faucet and I cannot figure out how to remove the handles. It looks like there *might* be a cap on the handle, but it won't pop-off or unscrew - it doesn't budge! The schematic at grohe.com is zero help - it shows everything EXCEPT how to disassemble the handle. The handles we have are shown as "14" in the exploded diagram here:
