Bathtub with two showers?

Is it utterly impossible to find a "double" straight-sided bathtub such that you could use two wall showers? We currently have a tub/shower arrangement, but would like to add another shower on the other side. The slanted back of the tub (all of this is presently one of those cultured marble things) makes it impossible for one of the bathers to get close enough to the wall, so to speak. I can't find any precedent anywhere where this has been done, but it seems like it would be a fairly common situation. The only alternative, of course, would be to lose the tub completely, which I hate to do.......

Do you envision two sprays directed at one person?
Or two people showering at the same time?
(I'm thinking that you don't have quite enough room for a functional two-person shower)

My sister rented a house with two showerheads, and if you used the one mounted at the back you just had to aim it differently.

Your water pressure will have to be good and your hot water will have to be plentiful to run both at once. If you ran both of hers instead of just one, the flow from each decreased accordingly

I envisioned two people showering at once. We have a small condo with a five-foot shower pan - we removed a standard-sized bathtub to put it in - and two wall-mounted showers and it works great and is plenty big. I was assuming the six feet would be lavish! With the slanted bathtub back on one side though, it really makes for awkward positioning.

Yeah - That's what I meant about not having enough room. I meant at foot-level -- The bottom of a tub is probably a good foot to foot-and-a-half smaller than the top, so it'd be cozy.

The 32" width that most tubs are isn't really wide enough for a comfortable shower either. Yes, it works in a tub/shower situation because of the length. To have a tub/shower that would always accomodate 2 people comfortably, then you'd have to have at least a 36"x 72" space, with straight sides on all 4, which would mean it'd be very uncomfortable to actually use as a tub. It'd also have to be a custom design, either with fiberglass, acrylic, concrete, or mosaic tile. In the end, you could shower two people, but you could only bathe one who was OK being in a "swimming pool" instead of a tub.

Although there are a few 5' tubs out there with straight (that is, relatively vertical) sides at both ends, this design seems more common amongst 5.5' and 6' tubs. In any size, the lack of a slope makes it rather uncomfortable for your back and head when used as a tub though.
