Daltile Rittenhouse subway tile install question...Bill? HELP!

Posted by jammiesallday (My Page) on

Ok, so we are doing 2 walls of a shower in white Daltile Rittenhouse. (other 2 are glass)

According to Daltile, they don't make 3"x3" bullnose (on one side). I thought we could just cut down the 3x6" (with the bullnose on the 3 " side), but my tile guy is saying that it won't look very good. (the cut against the inside finished field tile). I think I've seen so many here that have used this tile in the running brick pattern, was this an issue?

I hope that makes sense. I love this tile, it matches everything and IT'S ON SALE!!!

Thank you!

Not so long as he uses a wet saw to make those cuts. I've done two in the last three weeks, exactly as you described.

We're considering this tile for our kitchen backsplash, too... so Bill if you end up doing ours, that'll be three in a short time frame!

jammiesallday, I'm using this tile for my tub surround too. Where did you find it on sale? Thanks!

We're using DalTile Rittenhouse Arctic White in our basement bathroom. It's pretty cheap through Home Depot. Here is a shot taken a few minutes ago. Still need to run the vertical bullnose and grout, but you get the idea.
