| First, I would like to know if the Laticrete Bright White in the epoxy will have an ever so slight warm cast to it. I think I remember Bill V. stating that there is a bit of yellow to it because of the epoxy resin. I am leaning toward the Bright white because of this warmth, if it is there. The sample stick show this. Are the sticks accurate color representations?
Second, I plan to mix the Platinum Laticrete epoxy with either Silver Shadow or the Bright White to get a lighter version of the Platinum. I have several samples with the Silver Shadow and Platinum that I am happy with, but was wondering if the Bright White might warm the Platinum up, as well as lighten it up. I may be splitting hairs here, but the Silver Shadow is too light for my floor and the Platinum is too dark for me. The other mid grays are too off in color for my room. I want to use epoxy because of the hard traffic this floor will get. Thanks for your consideration. |

| Ok, I've decided. Just plain old Platinum for the black slate, skip the blending (crazy idea). Then for the walls, Silver Shadow. For the listello I will do a 50/50 mix of Platinum and Silver Shadow, if I deem it appropriate when the time comes. This will be my fun blend. It is not a lot of grouting, about 12 sf of 2x4s. |
