wall tile pattern problem

Posted by rebaw (My Page) on

We have 8x10 white tiles and 47" width of wall. We were going to put them in a staggered position, but that would end up with just a one inch sliver every other row. Are there photos of tiles with an offset of 7" rather than at the middle 5" of the tile? I'm having a hard time explaining the problem. Can't find it on Bridge's tile website either. thanks.

RE: wall tile pattern problem

Just shift your whole design over by 3". So if your original plan was:
odd rows: start with full tile, end with 6" tile
even rows: start with half tile, end with 1" tile

your new plan would be:
odd rows: start with 3" tile, end with 3" tile
even rows: start with 8" tile, end with 8" tile

Weedy-- we know you meant TWO inches. :-)
