Redroze, I have a question for you!

What are the dimensions of your guest bath? And how long is your vanity? The layout is the same as what we are going to build for our daughter and it really helps to see a visual. I recently posted about trying to incorporate a sit down vanity beside of the sink, but now I'm wavering. I think I've about talked daughter into a vanity in her bedroom...key word being "about." It will take up valuable space in her room that's only 15 x 12 and already will have quite a lot of furniture. On the otherhand I don't really want to crowd the bathroom either.

Hi ncamy, so sorry I missed your post!!! My guest bath is roughly 95" x 108" (roughly 8' x 9') and the vanity is 5'. Good luck on your daughter's remodel!

What are the dimensions of your bathroom? I think you should try to incorporate the vanity into your daughter's bedroom. I've seen the vanities that are an extension of the bathroom vanity...they're tricky and you need a lot of space. I'll check your other post...

Thanks for the reply. Didn't mean to bug you! Her bathroom will be 8.5 feet wide across at the back from the back of the toilet to the long wall of the shower/tub. The room is 8 feet long. It is more narrow as you enter the room, about 5.5 feet because of the closet that protrudes into the room. It really would be set up just like yours it seems. Is your 9 feet the length across, left to right as you enter or from the door back?
9 feet

9 feet is the length across, left to right when you enter the room. That's at the longest end though from the toilet to the back of the shower. Immediately when you walk in, the wall from the vanity to the towel rack is actually only 80" which is 6'6".
