Anyone have large format tile cut to mosaic for shower?

I went on a tile quest today and found a tile I really like for my master bath remodel, but the smallest size (other than bullnose) is 12 x 12. It is not polished, but still seems too slick for a shower floor. I want a curbless shower with a linear drain, so buying another tile for the floor may not give the look we want. The tile is colorbody rectified, and I wonder if the tile guy could cut it into smaller pieces for the floor. I don't have my tile guy yet - was waiting to pick out the tile first.

A tile guy could cut the larger pieces into smaller sizes for the floor. It'll just cost you more in labor than if you found a tile the size you want.

That is true, Jewell. I am having 2x2 polished dark emperador marble accents in my Travertine floor. I have 155 sf of floor tile going down and not including the cost of the floor tile or accent tile (36 per sheet), the labor to install accents is costing me $400 because of the cuts to the 16 x 16 floor tiles.
