What Size Vanity To Buy

We are redoing a small master bath and have a choice between a 78" or 84" vanity.

All the fixtures in this bathroom are against one wall that is a total of 14'3" long and sadly only 5" deep.

The current config is:

At far wall is a 30x60" shower, then toilet, then a 4" pony wall, then a 66 & 1/2" single vanity & then a 28 &1/2" cabinet.

Our plan is to:

Enlarge shower to 34x60, replace old toilet with new toilet that is not as wide & not have to move the toilet as the pipe is lead & this will save us $600-800. So from were the 4" pony wall is now (we are removing this wall), we will have a total of 98" to the other wall.

We can buy either a 78" or a 84" vanity.

If we buy a 78", we may have some space to add an 18" linen cabinet at the other end.

If we buy the 84" inch vanity, we will have some space on either side or to oen side.

I am thinking going with larger vanity so there is less stuff in an already small room.

Any opinions?

Thanks.

Also the 84: inch vanity does not come with a backsplash but the 78" one does. That may factor into the decision!

The toilet MUST have 15'' minimum from the center of the waste pipe to the nearest obstruction, and 18'' is much better. You cannot enlarge your shower if it imacts that clearance number. Using a narrower toilet does not matter. It's the distance from the center of the waste pipe that code is concerned with.
