Covering Durrock

Need to cover about 4 inches around a door on Durrock ,in bathroom and then paint it. Can I use Vinyl Spackling. It is the space between the door trim and side wall. Too small of space to put tile and can't put drywall because it would protrude out from depth of trim.

RE: Covering Durrock

You could use vinyl spackle or joint compound. Spackle has a few advantages over joint compound.
