Confused about whirlpool baths - comparing strength of jets

I checked out a Sanijet at a hotel, and was just able to stick my hand in. It seemed pretty weak. The manufacturer says the jets are 18 gpm.

Jacuzzi jetted tub has some good reviews for their Primo line (Lowe's exclusive) - most reviews mention how strong the jets are. Manufacturer says that they are only 9 gpm. There are no plumbed examples for me to feel the jets.

Would the jetted tub feel stronger because air and water are being pumped through?

Jetted tubs will definitely feel stronger because the pump is moving the water where the sanijet and air tubs only move air. The Sanijet moves water but not by a central pump circulating the water, only through the jets themselves. The air tubs only move air so no water to stay in the lines and stagnate.

To avoid future cleaning issues I would recommend you research this site's many comments/threads on these tubs and ask a lot of questions.
