Thanks Guys, I'll get to stand on it tomorrow and see how it feels. I have a square drain that they said is as high as it will go. If it doesn't feel right I can change the drain cover to a round and add about 1/4 inch. I don't know why they said I can extend a round cover but not a square.

The Code minimum is ¼" per foot and the lowest pitch in the stall would be the longest run from the drain to the wall, which is the diagonal measurement from the center to a corner.

The diagonal corner-to-corner measurement is the hypotenuse of a therefore the formula is the Square Root of side A squared x side B squared.

A squared =50"x50= 2500sq.in
B squared =50" x50= 2500sq.in
C squared = 5000sq.in
C= the square root of C-squared
C= 70.71"

The distance from the center to the corner = C/2= 35.36"

The drop equal 7/8" which = 0.875" in a 35.36" run
Rounding 35.36 to 36" we get 36" /12"per foot = 3Â.

Total drop, 0.875 / total run of 3Â = 0.2916" per foot

0.2916 is greater than the code minimum of 0.25" per foot so the minimum slope is ok.

From the drain to the nearest wall is 2"
Total drop, 0.875" divided by a run of 2Â = 0.4375" per foot.
0.4375" per foot is less than the code maximum of 0.5" per foot so the maximum slope to the side is also within code standard.

Wow Lazypup, Thank You for calculating that for me. They laid the tile this AM and it looks fantastic. I feel great knowing the slope is OK. I did stand on it this morning before the tile and it felt OK, a little steep but not unacceptable.
