 o
Tile store - anyone ever encountered this?

We went to a tile and slab store yesterday. They had a fabulous selection of tile. However, all the tile boards were affixed to the wall so you couldn't move them around to see one tile with another, or with a granite or marble slab. I asked if they could, and they told me they weren't movable. Very odd.

Did they have samples of the tiles you could move around? I did have a similar experience at one shop, but they had lots of samples to experiment with different combinations, separate from the boards.

If your screen name stands for San Jose hockey fan, then find another tile store. There are 4 or 5 outstanding ones here.

Babka, I've been to many (All Natural Stone, Galleria, Chic, etc.), I was just curious.

Porcelanosa, Tile Fantastic, Bedrosians, Walter-Zanger... ;-)

There are so many that I just figure why mess with a shop that doesn't put their customer's first.

I agree! I just thought it was so odd.
