I really like our pop-ups. We've had them now for a year and a half. Not having the thingy on the back of the faucet makes it easier to clean too. IMHO they close off the drain more securely. When we had the drain closer on the faucet the water would sometimes leak out. Not so good when I wanted something to soak for a few minutes.

We just remodeled our master bath and installed the California Faucets ZeroDrain Pop-Down style sink drains in the two sink. really happy with the way it looks and works. The faucet I used did not have a built in lever or pull up drain, so I knew I was going to use the pop-down type.

I am the one in my house that fixes clogged sinks or the broken lever drains. I hate hate hate getting under the sink and undoing that whole lever mechanism ... it will be so easy with the pop-down to clean out the hair clogs.

Will use these again when we remodel the other bathrooms.

Yes to the disassembly/reassembly headache when cleaning out the U-trap.

Pop up...Pop down... We have a Lacava sink that takes a european 2" drain cover. They call it "Click-Clack". Whatever you choose to call it, they work!
