What do people think about this tile job?

This is a complete master bathroom remodel that is still in progress. The wall tile is 12x24" with 1/16" grout lines, so I was prepared for minor lippage issues. But my problem is that the grout color is not uniform. In addition, they took too much grout out of some of the joints, which then makes the lippage and color consistency issues more noticeable by casting shadows. I voiced my concerns with the contractor and he will not admit (or doesn't actually believe) that there is a problem. I would love to hear some neutral 3rd party opinions about the quality of the job here and what options may be available to fix it.

Is this VERY fresh grout? As in, not dry yet? Wet grout looks different from dry grout (in color, that is).

I think it looks more natural just like your tile is varied so is the grout. However, in my own bathroom floor, the grout is so varied in color (and the lines are not straight) it looks wet in some places, and it does bug me - so I understand your concern. They mix different batches of grout and I think the results can vary. You can get grout paint at Lowes.

I don't see any lippage in your pictures. Did your tile guys use a leveling system? On the lower photo it looks like the horizontal grout line is a little thinner than the vertical ones, but that could just be the angle of the photograph.

Regarding the grout, you can wait until the grout cures and then use Aquamix Grout Colorant. It comes in all colors including the color of your grout and it really works well and is easy to apply.

The installers did not use a leveling system, just regular tile spacers. I'm not as concerned about the lippage (therefore I didn't choose photos that featured it), because
1) it isn't much worse than I expected given a brick pattern with 12x24" tiles
2) doesn't seem realistic to fix it (please correct me if I'm wrong)

However the color inconsistency seems fixable? Perhaps I will ask the contractor to color it.

Does anyone have any thoughts on whether there is enough grout in the joints. I assumed the edges of the grout should be flush with rectified tile, since there is no bevel.
