Quick decision on tiling front of bench

Posted by phylhl (My Page) on

I have to decide today whether to tile the front of my shower bench the same as the floor, a medium gray slate looking tile, or white large format subway tile whoch os the same as the shower walls.

What is customary?

What will look better?

Thanks!

We used the same tile in 4 x 4's on the shower floor and 12 x 18's on the walls. We decided on the larger tiles for the bench and were able to have a 24 x 24 tile cut to fit the front of the bench to avoid grout lines.

Oh nice, treasure. That looks lovely. Love your baseboard effect as well.

We have decided to use the large format white subway tile on the front of the bench, so it blends in with the walls.

Thanks.
