Fan/exhaust piping in basement bathroom

This ? fits into multiple forums, but this seems the most likely...

Adding a bathroom in the basement, which means exhaust piping will need to be added. It's in the corner of the basement, with both walls (cinderblock) fully above ground level and a deck outside attached to the rim joist (on both walls). For clarity, the deck is sitting 8' above grade, so the walls underneath the deck would be the bathroom walls.

Are there any code issues with running the pipe through the rim joist and exiting underneath the deck? Do I need to add anything to the exhaust exit point (other than a dryer-vent style flap) due to the moisture content being expelled directly under the decking? Does it need to stick away from the house a certain distance, be angled downward 45 degrees, etc.?
