Bathroom Sliding Barn Door?

Posted by nan-nan (My Page) on

Would this be a lockable, private option for a tight space, or would a pocket door be better.

Thinking of bathroom smells and sounds, as room is close to the kitchen on the main floor.

Any code issues with using it in Ontario?

Thanks!

We're putting one in our master bath but I'm not sure I'd want one in a 'public' area. Most of the hardware I've looked at has some type of gap between the door and wall/trim (the smallest gap I've been quoted so far is 3/8th of an inch). I think a pocket door might provide more privacy.

You don't get a complete closure seal on a barn door. Like bumble, I wouldn't do it in a public area bath.
