new shower stall tile floor not square?

We are adding a new bath and almost done. I noticed that the 3" tile floor in the shower is not square. The tile guy has agreed to retile the floor. I don't think this will really help because the floor is not square. I am thinking about using pebbles or broken quartz - so that the floor will not look as bad as it does now (because of the grid with the 3" tiles).
Any thoughts about this? Also any special considerations with pebbles or broken quartz?

I think Mongoct mentioned to be careful on pebble floors when grouting. It is important to not over remove the grout from around the pebbles in the clean up process. Apparently it can be a problem.
