Have you considered finding a local cabinet maker? I got a much much better quality vanity for less than what I could have found at Lowes or Home Depot.

I can't because we bought local. We just found a business that supplied cabinets and vanities. We picked out very basic items and were never sorry. We used the old sink put it in the center of the long vanity, got a Formica top. By having one sink we had room for 2 banks of drawers below. I loved that arrangement. I don't why in the world I let them put two sinks in my new home, I miss the extra drawers.

As monicakm says, get a local cabinet maker. I did and am so happy with my vanities. Bathroom #1 vanity was made to fit my homemade soapstone sink, and is absolutely beautiful. With bathroom #2, I had a small shop make the vanity along with a built-in laundry surround. How I discovered these options, was through the kitchen cabinet business I used when I remodeled my kitchen, prior to the BR remodels. The son of the kitchen design business was a carpenter, and helped install my kitchen cabinets. He was very good. I hired him for the bathrooms. He actually didn't build for my #2 bathroom but recommended a small frameless cabinet making shop. He installed them though.

My local cabinet makers are expensive. If yours are too, I'd order through a kitchen and bath cabinet company where you do get some choice of wood, door style, etc. Go price something like Schuler at Lowes or Kraftmaid at HD as a place to start. You can step it up a notch with other companies.
