Merola tile mosaic for shower?

Could anyone tell me definitively if the Merola porcelain tile mosaics, often sold by places like Home Depot, are recommended for shower floors? The available information isn't clear. The specs say that it is suitable for bathroom floors, but shower floors are a bit different.

I have seen many postings where people have commented that these mosaic tiles are thin and some people say they wouldn't use them on a floor. They are generally .25 inch thick. I like them because they are porcelain and affordable, but I worry about water issues and breakage in a shower...

Any thoughts?

1/4" thick porcelain tiles should be durable. I'd choose a matte finish over a polished one.

NO! Don't make the same mistake I did. 6 months of use and the top facia of the 1' tile is popping off. It was not abused and was properly installed.
