I'm getting ready to waterproof my bath/shower alcove with Laticrete Hydrobarrier and the mesh that goes with it. The plan is to wrap the mesh from the wall up and over onto the rough sill and partway onto the new vinyl window. The whole thing will then be trimmed out normally with PVC liberally laced with silicone.
Laticrete says the membrane will not adhere to the vinyl window so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas. I thought to apply a layer of construction adhesive to the window where the mesh will be and then apply the membrane over that. Hydrobarrier may not stick to vinyl but most things I've usedstick to cured construction adhesive. Any ideas are most welcome, thanks.
