Shower Panels...Too Fancy for Plain Tub/Shower Surround?

I've only seen shower panels installed in fancy bathrooms with huge walk-in showers and floating glass doors. Have you ever seen them installed in more modest tub surrounds?
I have a plain white Americast tub with subway tile surround and a shower curtain. Do you think a shower panel will look out of place?
