Vanity, mirror, light and outlet

Hi all,
We have a 34" vanity which will have a 2" backsplash (I think). We just don't know what to work on next. Where does the outlet go? To one side of the vanity or above it? How high? How high does the mirror go above the vanity? And, how high does the light bar go above the mirror?
Thank you.

RE: Vanity, mirror, light and outlet

I don't think there are 'right' and 'wrong' ways to this. I moved my electrical outlet up a few inches so that the tile wouldn't have to be cut to go around it. I decided to put the frame of my mirror directly on top of my backsplash chair rail because I held up the mirror frame and decided that was better than moving it up a few inches. I had to decided where to put the scones before the floor or vanity were installed so I measured and marked to determine where they should be placed. They could/should probably be 2" higher than they are. My counters are 36.5" high, plus I have an 8" backsplash. I wanted a large mirror, so I kept my electrical outlet on the wall next to the mirror. Hope that helps.
