What Do You Think of This Price?

We purchased a remnant of Desert Dream. It's 40x26 to be cut to 36x24. They will template, cut/polish the sink hole. Round Over Edge (no extra charge) and a 4" backsplash (I know, I don't like them either but DH isn't keen on glass). Installed for $563. She said Desert Dream is a high end rock but that all their remnants are $45. Whole slabs sell for $82 sq foot. If DH templates, we can save $125. He can do it. He's templated our kitchen sink, the peninsula and my granite counter top in my bathroom.

I paid about $700 for a similar thing, so it looks fine to me - included templating, fabrication and installation, one sink cutout, 4" backsplash.

RE: What Do You Think of This Price?

We paid $600 for a remnant of granite for a 36" vanity, templated and installed.

Thanks! I'm feeling better :)

You'd better jump on that before he comes to his senses.

RE: What Do You Think of This Price?

What other kinds of countertops could you get for $560 installed ???
