Marble hex tiles

After a several year break, I've been lurking here recently, getting ready to redo my bathroom. Been going back and forth about the tile materials. . . originally all subway tile, then marble hex, then ceramic white octagons, then marble again. . . you get the picture. It's a DIY with a contractor-dad, so hopefully will go well.

So marble is what my heart wants on the floor, and maybe the shower floor. It's a 5x8 space. Probably honed 2" hex tiles in Carrera.

I've seen all the warnings about daily care, rusts, staining. I plan to do honed and I don't mind a little patina. I use light colored bath products. I'm nervous about iron stains and rust though.

Are we likely to have issues with this in a hex tile? The pics I've seen have generally been for larger tiles with more variation.

Anything to be warned about?

(love this site! I get so much information from it).
