No pics, but sounds like you need a tile that has outside corner pc.s available. Check out SubwayTile.com for examples of various trim tiles used on outside corners.

The thing that would scare me is that Subway Ceramics is traditionally more expensive than most other brands, and when both Dal and AO have trim pieces available for their subway tile lines, if that's the only reason you're going to Subway Ceramics, then you're wasting your money. If you're a fanatic about it being exactly period correct, with no cushioned edges, and instead, flat with nice sharp corners, then it IS the place for you. Keep in mind, though, you're going from about 2.00 a foot to about 11-15.00 a foot for the tile.

oh silly! all you need is side bullnose tile! When we did our last reno in our former place, I looked and looked and the best stuff turned out to be Daltile and American Olean...I did their matt tile....the Daltile subways came with bullnose...that's all you need to turn the corner....additionally, I went nuts trying to find it, but fyi, American Olean makes a really pretty top chair rail that matches in case you're looking for that too...
