Kohler Shower Bowed - Install?

Posted by djdoggone ( on

We received our Kohler Sonata shower module (acrylic) but the flange across the top is bowed. The middle is flush with the frame but the two outside corners stick out a strong quarter inch.

The plumber wouldn't install it because he was worried it would crack. But the place we bought it from says that they all come through a little off and the carpenter needs to scribe it.

Anybody have any experience with this?

I'd listen to your plumber on this one.
