Did you go with matte or glossy tile on your walls? Any benefit to either?

I like the look of matte.

I think that matte tiles show water spots less than glossy tiles.

What does the rest of your kitchen/area of interest look like? During my kitchen remodel, I couldn't afford new quality made cabinets so I painted the ones I had. I wanted to draw as much attention away from my cabinets so I put in a busy granite and SS appliances. I also picked a high gloss 4x8" tile. I questioned the high gloss because of the reflections off of it but I'm so happy with it now. I think if I would have picked matte it still would have looked good...

Matte subway tiles in biscuit color. Wonderful!!

Matte tile with glass accents. But, I like the look of the high gloss shower walls and figure they might be easier to squeegee, but that look wouldn't work for my house so I didn't even consider them.
