Hi kas4. It's too bad no\-one ever replied to this. We are about to do the very same thing. Using Caesarstone for our tub surround and wanting to put in two niches. Work will be starting very soon and we need to decide. Did you end up with the niches? If so, are you happy with the result? How do you like the quartz for a surround? If you did niches, where the slab opening was cut, did you have slightly rounded corners, or could they cut right angle cuts??

@silken1, we decided to do tile instead of solid surface. Cost was one of the reasons.

Thanks for getting back on this. There don't seem to be many people out there who have used it, at least that I can find. We have done a lot of our own tile work in our home and would have tiled the bathroom ourselves too if that's what we went with. So getting the Caesarstone is adding a lot to our bathroom reno bill. I hope it works out.
