hooks for towels

How do people feel about hooks for bath towels instead of towel bars in a master bath? We are short on space so can only squeeze in 1 towel bar. I am thinking about using hooks for additional towels, robe etc. Do towels actually dry well on a hook?

RE: hooks for towels

How thick a towel, how wet does it get, what's it made of, how is your air circulation, do you have AC or live where it is humid. Too many variables. The best way would be to get a Command Hook (the kind that are easily removable with no damage) and see for yourself. Towels on bars usually need to be folded to fit, so the drying time might just be the same for you.

RE: hooks for towels

There've been several threads about this. Here's one recent one,and a search of this forum or the home decor forum for "towel hook" without the quotes will bring up others:

Here is a link that might be useful: towel hook or towel bar

RE: hooks for towels

You can get a towel bar with a double rack , that will give you more space . You can measure your space and get the longer one too . This way you can at least dry 2 bath towels unfolded .
