Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to this site, and this is my first time posting. My husband and I are building a home and I'm overwhelmed with all the decisions we have to make.

We had originally planned to get tile flooring in entry, kitchen, and bathrooms. The plan was to also install the heated mats. I met with our flooring provider this week and he told me the mats are very expensive. Really don't mind the option of vinyl (loved having vinyl in these areas in our last home and keeps the budget in check). My question is... will it look strange if I have vinyl on the floors and then have a tile surround in our shower and around the tub?

Has anyone done this and have pictures or feedback?
