From regular toilet to corner toilet?

Hi there,

I just saw that there is this corner toilet made by American Standard and think it'll fit in my small bathroom better than the regular toilet that I have now. I'm really interested. However, if I replace the regular toilet with the corner one, do I have to move the drain? Also does anyone have experience with a corner toilet? Are they just as good as the regular ones?

Yes, you need to move the drain.

A typical installation is a 12" rough in (from back wall) and 15" -18" from the side wall.

The corner toilet is 12" from both walls.

It is also a relatively expensive and limited option. American Standard offers 80 toilets and 4 are the Triangle style (and they are round, elongated and right-height variations of each other)

Hm... after some thought, since corner toilets are not so popular, there might be a reason? Now although it seems to be a good idea and I think it'll look good in my small bathroom, I'm a bit hesitated.

So if I just find a small toilet (shallow depth, regular kind), anyone has good suggestions?

Crane has some corner toilets too.

The AS corner toilets have the same basic flush arrangement as the Cadet 3 series IIRC, seems to be well reputed, although I've never installed one to verify.
