Cleaning wicker in the bathroom

Hi all,

Just bought a new place and it came with this wicker basket in the bathroom designed to fit on a corner shelf underneath my sink. I'm not a big fan of wicker, but I'm not sure I want to throw it out since it goes with the shelf.

Does anyone have any advice on how to keep it clean? At the moment, it's pretty dusty, but I'm also wondering about moisture and spills.

Thanks!

If it is not fastened in place take it outside and hose it down. I would not like wicker in bathroom for the simple reason it is hard to clean and flushing the stool puts out a spray of dirty water for so many feet.

I always sprayed my wicker down with a garden hose too. But I didn't clean it but once a year.

same here. I picked a shelf up at a garage sale, hosed it down (using a brush also), let it dry and then spray painted it.
