I'd go with 4 inch recessed lights and actually you may still want a single recessed light in the shower. It helps to see especially when cleaning.

I second the suggestion to put a light in your shower. We have a shower with glass on 2 sides and still use the light every day when showering and especially when cleaning. I think yours would be too dark without a light over it, IMHO.

Thanks for the help. I'll go with the 4" and totally revisit getting a light in the shower. I'm sure it would make the bathroom seem larger too.

I don't think the 4" take any special bulb but I don't actually have any canned lights. When I was considering them, it seemed it was just the size of the can was the difference.

Are you going to have a fan in the shower? You could put a combo fan/light in there. I have a fan/light that I plan to use that is rated for wet locations.

I already have a fan in the bathroom which is oversized for the area so I'm to keep it. It's not in the shower and on a separate switch right now,

I have a light on my fan in shower, but you'd have to have a recessed light rated for wet areas.
