Do you like warm or cool tones? Metal finishes?

I'm near the end of a guest bath remodel. I do have a south-facing window above the tub/shower alcove, so that brings natural light in. I have a mid-gray floor and carrara counter. Chrome fixtures. I know those are cool tones, but I've ignored that and have warm ivory on the walls, the same color throughout most of my house. I just can't bring myself to put gray on the walls. I'm choosing to think of the carrara and floor as neutrals and hope the ivory works, since I like gray and cream together.

I think you have to decide what undertones you prefer, get a whole lot of chips and start paring down before experimenting with large painted sample boards.

Our very small master bath has a carrera tile look-alike porcelain floor and countertop (Cambrian Torquay). We painted the room Benjamin Moore Winter Lake, which looks wonderful (IMO). It is a blue-grey tone that complements the veining in the marble-look floor and countertop very well.

If you think it is too dark for your room, you could consider going a shade or two lighter on the same Benjamin Moore color strip.

We have two windowless bathrooms, both of which have carrara marble on the floor and white ceasarstone vanity tops. We painted both a light silvery-blue, and we love it. Here's a picture of one of them.
