I was surprised to see your fieldstone sample had a pennywise-like design or texture until realizing it was a reflection - d'oh!

I vote both!
If picking only one, though, I vote matching backsplash.

Matching backsplash give vainities a finished look and, to me, make them look like they are better quality then without although Ive considered ones without because my first priority is overall style, but its definitely preferred.

BUT
I think if the tile is elsewhere in the bathroom, definitely would improve look to have tile with it and think the size of penny tile makes it an excellent choice as a tile for backsplash

Thanks for the input! I'm so glad you said that about the reflection. I noticed that too and wondered if that would bug me or if anyone else would pick up on that....
My issue is the remnant we found isn't big enough for the splash, too....ugh!!

I have been struggling with this decision for a while. I still haven't full decided, but I am strongly leaning towards quartz backsplash to match the counter. Hope to read more opinions on this!

Any other thoughts on this? I've decided to do the Fieldstone in both my master & main/kids bath. Should I do matching quartz backsplash or mix it up in one it both rooms & do either penny or subway backsplash? Or would the reflection issue he an issue...? Help please! ðÂÂÂðÂÂÂ
