Why is it cracked? Are the studs that uneven. I would replace it.

Studs and wall were plumb. No clue why there are cracks. The cracks appear to be on the surface, and not cracked through. Is this common for surface cracks? It is my gut feel they still have integrity, but am not an expert by any means. The stuff is very rigid. Would Hardibacker have been a better choice? That appears to be more tolerant.

Probably got flexed a bit while handling it. If it's flat, I wouldn't worry about it.
