Handshower *without* a slide bar

We're in the middle of a small bathroom renovation in NYC. We're having a tough time finding an affordable handshower that does not have to be affixed to a slide bar. Ideally, we want to have one fixed shower head for 99% of our showering, but then want the separate handshower to use only for cleaning and washing the dog. Since the shower stall is small, we'd rather not have a slidebar. We've seen some online, but haven't found any in a showroom in NYC that we like. Any recommendations? Does the handshower need to be the same brand as the rest of the shower assembly?

Have you tried Simon's Hardware? It's on 29th and Third, I believe. They have always had a really good selection but I haven't been there in a long time. Also, what about Home Depot or Gracious Home? In my last bathrooms, I had handshowers without the slide bars. I think they were Grohe. They were nice but what's out there now is even nicer.

You need/want one that attaches to a regular shower arm.

Something like any of these in this search.

(I used this company just because, but this is what you are looking for, I believe)

Here is a link that might be useful: handshower shower arm search

Have you looked at this 2 in 1 by Delta?

It looks like it would take care of what you need perfectly.
